Throughout our marriage, Marcus and I have lived in 4 different states, 8 different cities and have moved 13 times. Each of these places and moves have brought us many memories and allowed us to have different experiences….
Like when we lived in Nevada…this is where Marcus and I met and were married. This is where we spent the first 7 months of our married life together…it is also where we moved 3 of the times and had our first daughter, McKenna.
One of the stories Kenna hears over and over is how she never actually lived in Nevada. We were getting ready to move to Cedar City, Utah and had our bags packed and loaded when she decided to make an appearance a little over 3 weeks early. Kenna and I were released from the hospital the day after she was born. We loaded into the car, and drove and spent our first night in Ely Nevada on our way to Cedar City.
After bouncing around for about a year… 4 more cities. We finally ended up in Taylorsville, Utah. This was the first time we actually had our feet on the ground. Oh my gosh, we were so so poor. But I look back and this is the time were we made so many great memories…
I loved living in Utah. I loved the Jordan River Parkway that was near our apartment. I love the friendships that I made while living there and still keep in contact with some of them.
Living in Taylorsville, Marcus, Kenna and I were sealed in the Jordan River Temple and also had Mr. Brady…
Five weeks after having Braden, we made the move to Rock Springs, Wyoming. This is where my parents and family were living and during one of our visits, a job opportunity with Frito Lay came up that Marcus was able to take.
Rock Springs is where we spent 8 years, Marcus switched to the job with Simons Petroleum that gotten us to West Virginia, we bought and sold our first home and had little Miss Riss…and I loved it. Many friends, family close by, Bonsai (I miss sushi) walks, Summer Movies, weekend Salt Lake trips, my first job in 12 years (I still SOO miss the girls at the bank, they are the best) our boat and Flaming Gorge… I miss it. But new places mean new experiences and memories…
You seeing our pattern? Are you?
Because, now we are living in Morgantown, West Virginia. NEVER did I think that we would end up here and so far away. I really am loving it. It is absolutely beautiful…especially now, with the leaves changing…oh my goodness. Ill have to post pictures.
We have great neighbors, kids are doing well in school. We have already made so many memories here, Pittsburgh Pirate games, snakes in Cheat Lake, rope swing at Tygart Lake, family and friends coming to visit, UNLV getting slaughtered at the football game, me driving to Pittsburgh and home WITHOUT getting lost!!! Marcus is busy at work, but flexible enough he can leave and go to doctor appointments with me…
Yes, I am. Yes, It was planned. Yes, we are so crazy…and so excited and so blessed.
4 States, 4 Kids…we are never moving again.
