Well. I can’t believe that the Holidays are over!!?? Seems like they flew by this year. I guess they always do. We certainly kept busy…. Here is some of what we did…
Ice Skating. Kenna went skating for Young Women's, so we all went. Brady was zipping around all over the place and Marissa got pretty good by the end. It was a lot of fun. We really should go more often. I, however, hung out where it was warmer with my friend Jess and Sean.
Then Kenners had her Christmas Choir Concert at school. They did awesome. Here is Kenna, with her friends Katy and Abby.
We have Take-Off!! Sean is officially mobile. Started army crawling. I had forgotten how fast they can get going on their elbows!! He loves to go hang out with Silvie. She is so good to tolerate him….
Marissa, all ready for her Holiday Concert at school. She is so cute. We found the cute bow hair do on Pinterest. Really, what did we do before Pinterest?? Oh yeah, clean, laundry, cook.. ha ha ha!!
Brady (in green) and Marissa singing their little hearts out.. Was a super cute program….
Little Miss Riss and I made some sugar cookies. Totally cheated and bought frozen dough, but were good!!
We also went up to Carnegie Children's Museum with some friends. Afterwards, we had dinner at the Hard Rock and drove thru the Hartwood lights. It was pretty cool. We waited in the car line for over an hour….then was another 45 minutes to actually drive thru the lights. It was pretty crazy. LOTS of lights. Something cool to have seen, but don’t think we will be making it tradition. Thank goodness for dvd players in the car, is all I have to say.
We opened sibling gifts on Christmas Eve. Was fun. They had put so much thought into the gifts they were going to get each other. We are really blessed with some great kids. Here is little man…army crawling away…
Marcus and I were scrambling a bit on Christmas Eve because the package from my parents hadn’t shown up. They have done the pajamas for us each year, and you can’t NOT have jammies!! And it isn't like we could just buy any old jammies…in our family, the pajamas are themed around some big event that had happened that year…. like last year, was West Virginia because of our move… So not only did we not have jammies, we had to come up with a theme that wouldn’t be impossible to find…
BAHAHAHAHA!! We did footie pajamas in honor of Sean. Oh my gosh. Kenna was so not thrilled. I have a video of her actually CRYING when we made her wear them. I was crying too….from laughing so dang hard. It was pretty much awesome. I think I will look for her footie pajamas every year. AND we told her she had to wear them Christmas morning or she couldn’t open presents. Ha ha! Man, being a parent really is fun. :)
Then we did some reindeer food to make sure those fellas wouldn’t miss us. We didn’t have a white Christmas..obviously. Was a little weird…..
Santa sure found us. Marissa got a huge Barbie house, Kenna a laptop and Brady a Kindle Fire. Sean (poor Sean) got a car seat. Hee.
We also have had some friend time. Marissa and Emily.
And Marissa and Megan, dressing up poor Silvie…
New Years Eve. Really, it was pretty mellow. We still did shrimp, but only one bag compared to the 5 or 6 we are used to. Missed my dad’s shrimp sauce…mine just wasn’t quite right. We hung out and played some Cranium. Was a good night.
Now for some backtracking on the good old cell phone. Here is the kids with Santa at our Ward Christmas Party. Sean didn’t quite know what to think of him….
Sean. Representing Maxum, where Marcus works. So cute. Love this little guy.
Right after Christmas we had a SUPER sick baby. He was running a temp of 103, even when drugged on Tylenol and Motrin. Was scary! He snuggled and slept and whimpered. Was so sad. He is usually so happy. We made about 4 trips to dr in a week. Had ear infections and what looked like Strep, but something viral on top of it. Took him to get blood work done, and x-rays. He also had a couple antibiotic shots. I tell ya, it was a LONG week. Poor guy.
Mr. Bartholomew kept the kids on their toes until Christmas. He colored pictures, made smores and even made sugar cookies that were just his size!! We sure hope that he remembers to come back next year!!
Liking to check himself out in the mirror.
Kids at Longhorn Steakhouse. They are crazy.
Sean….I love his two little teeth!!
Sean has also been coming with me on Thursday mornings to read to Brady’s class. The whole class loves to see him and Sean just soaks up the attention. Its funny.
He also does nothing but eat. Seriously. He is eating ALL DAY LONG! It is crazy. Since he discovered real food (thanks Nana) he loves it and gets annoyed when we wont share.
Went to the mall on MLK Day. Was totally crazy with all the kids running around…and Sean had to get in on the action. Ken went with him to stop anyone from stepping on him. He is also officially crawling more than army crawling. Sniff.
10 months old yesterday. Where does time go??
We are making another trip to dr today. Could just be a cold, but since the last sickness, I am a little paranoid. Poor guy.
And I am an Aunt…again. Jed and Chelsea had baby Allie on December 28. Isn't she so stinking cute!!! Her hair is insane. I wish I could squeeze her.
AND made reservations for this little number in August. Can you say BEACH HOUSE!!?? How freaking excited are we? Way. Can’t wait.
And during all the craziness, my momma came. Cant believe I didn’t get one picture? What was I thinking? I wasn’t, obviously. The kids didn’t know she was coming. Her flight got in at 11 pm on the 5th, so I picked her us and brought her home. Marissa heard us talking, and got up. She asked, “Am I dreaming??” Awe! It was a great visit, that of course, went much too fast. Love you Momma, come back soon.
Come see me.
