Our Fish Stories: October 2012

This is Jeff’s fault. I was having guilt because had been so long since updates. I started uploading pictures and look what happens! That is an ENITRE ROLL of toilet paper. Check out the wads on cabinet and tub. This is why I am half crazy and in desperate need of a massage. Good thing he is cute. Jeff, I think you owe me that massage. ;)

Moving on. Since “Taz” is napping, I should be safe.

Brady is playing his first year of football. He is on the Falcon's. He still has a lot to learn, but it is a lot of fun to watch. They are in playoff now. This was the only game they lost and it was after 3 overtimes!! B is #51 on the green team.

My daddy came to visit. And while he was here, we decided to baptize Miss Marissa. She was so excited to be baptized. We are super proud of her. She is such a sweet little girl. A total cuddle bug. Loves her babies and stuffed animals. Hates thunder. Loves her brothers and sister. She has such a tender heart. Love her.

We had gone to the Botanical Garden for these pictures. It is beautiful in there! And there are caches yet to be found. Have I tempted you yet UG and AC??

Baptism Day was also my momma’s birthday, September 20. Marcus was able to baptize her and Grampy did her confirmation. It was a great night.

Grampy also blessed Sean. {Gasp}. He is 18 months old!!! {Cringe}. It is crazy how time gets away from you. Kept thinking we would wait until family came out. Then didn’t. Then was just too weird. Blessing a 5 month old in Sacrament Meeting?? Weird. I kept thinking of his future wife. What if she asks for his blessing outfit in 30 year? I pull out this huge 2t thing?? {Cringe again} But that turned out not to even be an issue. Who knew that finding a larger blessing outfit would be impossible. I should have planned ahead and ordered one. Oh well. He was blessed holding a beautiful white afghan his Great Grandma Fish made for him. His future wifey can have that. :) He is blessed. It was a beautiful blessing. That is the important part.

Sean with his beautiful blonde hair. I love it. I love this face. He kills me. He totally works it. He wears me out. Every. Day. But has me (and the rest of the family, especially daddy) completely wrapped around his tiny little finger. Cant even remember what life was like before him. Cant imagine life without him.

We have done some caching. Sean is totally into it. I have really enjoyed walking downtown and finding some there. I HATE driving downtown. Narrow roads, lots of one way streets. Stresses me out. But it is a lot of fun to walk…. See, Sean likes it too!

Also did some hiking/caching at Coopers Rock. I don’t know why we don’t go out there more often. It is, again, beautiful. The kids love it.

Introduced the neighbor boys to caching. I think they are fans.

This… is Marcus!! Can you believe the resemblance?? It is spooky. I knew that Marcus had blonde hair when younger, but I didn’t realize that they could be twins. Marcus’ mom keeps giggling, because Sean acts a lot like Marcus did when he was younger. Asks if he is climbing out of his crib yet. (Thankfully, no, not yet). I am sure it is coming.

Seany. Attacking a snack and visiting our favorite ice cream shop, Sweet Frogs. Yum.

Kenna and one of her friends, Maddye. All ready for a school dance. When did she get so big?

The boy went to an HS football game. Caught some shirts. How cool are they? Pretty cool. They’ll tell ya. Just ask them, :)

We went the the big WVU rivalry football game with our friends the Crisers. Against Marshall. As in the movie “We are Marshall”. It was a lot of fun. Hot that day. And WVU won, so that’s a great thing. DISCLAIMER: Unless playing UNLV.

Went to a Pittsburgh Pirates game on Labor Day. It was a fun day. Another thing we should do more often. I love the bridges in Pittsburgh. They are too cool.

This totally cracks me us. Marissa has my ancient iPod. She has the app text free on it, so she is able to text. I found this little exchange on it between her and Brady.

Sean must have wanted a snack. An entire back of Marshmallow Matey’s will do.

Brady is playing soccer as well as football right now. Wow. He is a busy boy. Soccer is most definitely his “thing”. It is a lot of fun to watch him.

More walks in the Botanical Gardens…

FaceTime. Its always quite entertaining.

A little ride on the quad and walking the dog….. Man, she puts up with a lot. She is seriously so good.

All ready for school. After some goodbye loves, of course…

I just want to eat him up.

And beat him… This was totally Sean, not Silvie.

For church group, we had the WVU Mountaineer come by. His is LDS and the youth LOVED having him there. How fun.

Somehow our baby turned 14. {Vomit} She is beautiful. Inside and out. One of my best friends. She is such a good person and hard worker. Willing to help. She is a great kid. We are sure lucky.

Package from Auntie Breezy… what could it be?? I have to say, for the record, that I never got a single cookie. She stashed them all in her room!! Little stink. She was so happy it wasn’t a shirt like had been threatened.

Birthday Dinner at Olive Garden. Dad will do anything to embarrass her.

Birthday Present. We had $5 bills taped together and put into a Kleenex box. She was very confused at first, as to why we would give her Kleenexes, but was soon super excited!!

Kenna and I did a girls trip to Pittsburgh. We stayed the night, went to the Melting Pot and shopped until we dropped. It really was a wonderful time. Something I hope we can do again.

Think she succeeded in the shopping???

We picked up an extra surprise on the way home. Grampy was here and the kids had no idea. I admit, these surprises are completely for my sanity. “How many more days?” And “What are we going to do when he gets here?” “And then what?” Can only be asked 872 billion times before I would be completely insane. And I totally expect that they would exceed it. So they get lots of surprise visitors. Its fun.

While Grampy was here, we kept him busy… Stained the new big deck, did some electrical work and made my computer have a new hard drive.

He also got to play doctor. Kenna stubbed her toe. Nothing a little gauze and purple duct tape cant fix….

Grampy definitely got his workout while here, and started a game I cant play…no matter how many times Sean asks, I cant grow 12” to reach. How cute are they???

Marissa recorded several videos on Grampys phone to take back to show Gramma and Teresa. She is such a goof.

He also got his 18 month check. Is 21 lbs. Healthy and happy. Until mean Nurse Megan came in with shots. :(

Sean is happiest outside. I really don’t know what we are going to do when winter hits. I hate being cold!!!

I decided to try my hand in canning tomatoes. Sean and I went and raided the neighbors garden and got busy…

This is what I got. 2 1/2 Quarts!!! At least I know how to do them, but next time. MORE TOMATOES!!

The girls are both in gymnastics. Marissa has been working hard on her cartwheel. She is getting good!!

Last week, we went camping. Tent. Sleeping bag. Camping. the week had been gorgeous. Then camping day comes and was a high of 56. Brr. Really wasn’t that bad. Had lots of wood. A big fire. Smores. Kids had a great time.
