More Firsts….

Teresa Lou’s visit was lots of fun and of course, way too short. We found the girl some new pants..which was her only goal while here. We also visited the bookstore several times. She kills me. She and Kenna had their Barbie Movie Marathon. They are crazy…spent a lot of time giggling. Its so weird to think that they are the same distance in age apart as Kenna and Brady are… crazy.

We also visited the WOW Factory. Painted some ceramics. That was fun. She is waiting not so patiently for me to send her the finished product. I really hate going to the post office, so she may get it when we meet up at the beach in August… Seriously. Heehee.

Spent the day in Pittsburgh on the day she flew out. Went to Carnegie Science Center and the Cheesecake Factory. Was a super fun way to spend our last day!

Marissa, Brady and Teresa all touched a COCKROACH!! Marcus and Kenna both squealed and ran away as soon as they realized what the lady was holding. Ew.

Marcus and I also registered for a Half-Marathon. That is 13.1 miles. MILES! I don’t know what we are thinking. We haven't run any race officially, so this will all be new. I just want to finish. We have been training, so we will see how it goes. It is one month away. That makes me panic a little…okay, a lot.

Marissa and Emily got their costumes for dance class. They are so excited to be able to shake it and make that fringe dance! How cute are they??

This is Sean's absolute favorite place. He loves to climb in the dishwasher and ‘help’. He is so stinking sweet. Still not walking, but will catch him letting go of the coffee table and standing every once in a while. I am completely fine with him crawling until he is, oh… 5. Hee hee.

Marcus and I doing some training. We went on a bike ride and ended up going 22 miles!! It was fun though and a beautiful day for it!

Easter came….No pictures. Oops. Kids did color eggs this year which is something we got out of doing last year somehow….. Probably a 2 week old baby had something to do with it….

Marcus and I went to NYC to celebrate our 14th Anniversary. It is somewhere that we have always wanted to go, Marcus especially. It was a blast. Such a busy 3 days..and we walked over 20 miles. But so fun! We drove to the Maxum facility in Greenwich Connecticut…about 6 hours from here and parked the car. We then took the train into Grand Central Station.

Here is Marcus on the train…

Our hotel room. We stayed at the Milford Plaza. Seriously in Times Square. Had super cute LITTLE rooms. The size of Kenna’s room, no lie. Milford also had super confusing elevators. Had to enter room number on a keypad and it gave you the letter of the elevator to get on that would take you there. No buttons in elevator. Weird. We learned that lesson quickly tho!!

First night there, we walked to dinner, then to Union Square Theater where we say a Cirque show called Traces. It was really really cool. We had a lot of fun.

The next day; we took a taxi, and our lives in our hands -everything you see about NYC taxi drivers is completely true. Scary!!- …and went to the other side of Manhattan to see Ground Zero. You have to get timed tickets to actually get in to see the Memorial and it was 1.5 hours away. So we didn’t get to see it, but did see the new towers. Amazing.

This is our first cab ride. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the Cash Cab. But I decided that may have been a good thing. Breezy, who would have been our phone a friend, was in Italy and we would have lost all our winnings because we wouldn’t have had a friend. Sad.

We took a ferry ride to see the Statue of Liberty and to Ellis Island. It was really cool. And Lady Liberty is so not as big as I thought she would be. That was pretty weird. We had fun though. Another taxi ride and we changed and rested up for dinner….

photo (53)photo (52)

We had dinner at a steakhouse called AJ Maxwell's. Delish. Seriously. Marcus’ steak was heaven. So so good!! We took a little trip up to the top of Rockefeller Center. I have a heights thing, so I didn’t know how it would go, but I have since realized that it is a falling thing. As long as there is no chance of falling from high places, I am good. If there is thick glass or I am strapped in, bring it on.

It was beautiful up there! And we hit it right at Sunset, so that was really neat.

A quick walk thru Times Square again and our NYC trip was about over. It was a busy, and exhausting 2.5 days!! Loved every minute of it. The thought of taking our kids there one day??? Makes me want to vomit. I don’t think I could do it without becoming a mad woman with several leashes attached to the kids. Even then, I don’t think I could handle it. Maybe one day, when they are in their 20s!!

While we were gone, our friends Jessica and Andrew watched the kids minus Brady. She is such a good friend for taking them on, especially a baby! But she and Sean are buddies and she tells me she loved it. Andrew let Sean drive while we were away. He also tried to get him to walk. I don’t know why picture is upside-down. I cant fix it. But doesn’t it make it look like they are having so so much fun!??!

photo (55)

Brady went with his friend Nick to Nick’s grandparents house. They spent the days driving go carts and fishing. Although, neither one of them would touch the fish or the worms. Little punks. They had a blast though…obviously.

Found this on Pinterest today. Seriously makes me laugh because it is soo soo me! I love clearance shopping!!

Then little man. He had been doing so good since getting his tubes put in last month. I don’t think he had been well for more than a week in months so it was a nice change. But on Friday, he was fussy and wouldn’t eat. So not like him. He was snuggly and clingy. Was kinda nice…. Brady enjoyed it…

photo (44)

Then he was up with a pretty high fever on Friday night. Uh-oh. Saturday a few spots on his chin and Sunday his entire upper lip was swollen and covered in sores. The entire time, not really eating…and just not being himself. Poor baby. Took him to the dr this morning, and he has Hand Foot and Mouth disease. Nothing you can do for it, just wait it out. Contagious for a week!!! And none of the other kids have gotten it, so everyone may come down with it. It is so sad. He is miserable!!

photo (40)photo (39)photo (42)

Brady “mustache” you a question. Ba-da-boom!! Ha ha ha!!

photo (43)

Seany and his binks. This was a new trick, putting the whole bink in his mouth. Such a goof ball…

photo (41)

And we lost all 34,000 binkies we have except for the funky kissy lip one I bought just because it was $0.99, so funny.

Kenna was in a fashion show for YW. They had to show that they could still be super fashionable and modest. She was super cute in her top we added ruffled flowers too. Such sass when working that runway too! Loved it!!

What else… Got or family pictures. Love them. Here are a few of my favorites…DSC_8834DSC_8854DSC_8886DSC_8931DSC_8956DSC_9024DSC_9034DSC_9039DSC_9094DSC_9113DSC_9125DSC_9156DSC_9180DSC_9182DSC_9217DSC_9267DSC_9293DSC_9341DSC_9401DSC_9432DSC_9436DSC_8871DSC_8903DSC_8934DSC_8997DSC_9474DSC_9498fish
