Well…in 2009, I took a picture every single day and made a scrapbook…I have been doing the same this year, which means we end up with a lot of pretty random pictures…but I love it.
We are doing great…school is in full swing and the kids are adjusting well. All have friends, so that makes me happy. Brady and Marissa have even found some friends in the neighborhood…I only wish they would have found them for the summer!! Some things about school are a little different here than they were in WY, but they are doing great.
It is a little weird that the weather is still so hot, around 85, but the leaves are changing….I always associated cooler weather with the change…I mean, how do the trees even know when it is still so hot? It is beautiful though.
Here is Mr. B. He had just gotten out of the lake and attempted to put sunscreen on. Ended up looking like…I don't even know what. Made me laugh tho….
Miss Riss. I don’t know what she does every night, but this is how her hair looks EVERY morning!! It is crazy!
B is old enough for Cub Scouts. So so weird. He is so excited tho and looks adorable in his little uniform.
I wasn’t feeling well one afternoon so Ken Doll made dinner…she is quite handy in the kitchen and does really well. She loves to help with cooking and baking…I think we may attempt Grandmas Cinnamon Rolls here soon. Wish us luck.
A few Sunday’s ago, we had mashed taters with meatballs…Kenna got the fun job of peeling the potatoes. She pulled up a bar stool and peeled them…Both Marcus and I laughed, because that is exactly how my Grandpa (In the Blue House) does it.
I love these types of pics….LOVE.
Silvie got groomed. I don’t know what has happened to her, but she looks like a reversed skunk. Has this black strip down her back. So weird.
And Miss McKenna turned 12. 12!! Really??! She got a new desk and chair for her room…I seriously think at 12 I was still asking for Cabbage Patch Kids. She is so excited to be 12 and finally get to go to YW. So so excited. We made her Cherry Cake and Tater Tot Casserole..at her request.
You have no idea how happy this made me!! Brady has always struggled with reading and it is a fight everyday for him to do his homework…I came down and he was reading…for FUN!! Whooo!
Last weekend (9-18) we went to Charleston WV for Marcus’ big work picnic/party. It really was a lot of fun. It was at the Powerball Park, and they had Volleyball, we could use the ball field, blowup jumping toys, pucker powder, face painting and a balloon guy, Corn Hole, karaoke, and raffles.
What is Corn Hole? Totally a WV thing, but it is huge crazy here. It is basically bean bag toss with all these rules. Marcus had never played before and won!! $100!!
Marissa snuggling with Miss Peggy. I tell ya, she is a cuddle bug.
A normal pic of Brady!!
Kenna and B sang Charlie Brown by The Coasters…they got $30. They did great!!
In the Jumpy House… it was really hard taking pics while inside the jumpy house…all bouncy. But they had a blast…Brady started doing flips and all sorts of crazy stuff…and obviously bumped something. Oops.
Water Fight…I believe Kenna started it…
We stayed over night in Charleston..it was nice to get out of town for a bit. We were told of this family fun place with go karts…. Even Brady and Marissa got to drive their own, but my camera died. Saddest day ever.
And last night was Brady’s first Pack Meeting. Still so crazy. They played that game where you tie the balloon to your foot and pop each others…I HATE popping balloons…. it scares me. I can’t even open the tube roll things, freaks me out. Anyways, the kids had a blast doing that. Brady is excited to start earning some badges and I am looking for some great fabric glue to put them on with….hee hee.
Meanwhile Kenna was at her second YW night…I can’t tell you how bad this freaked me out when she handed it to me last week. Still freaks me out. They did an awesome night on preparing for Temple Marriage and what it means to be married in the Temple. Pretty cool…
The next few weeks are some of the same. Hoping to get one more boating trip in…hoping. Marcus’ mom, Aunt Cheryl, Aunt Jan and Uncle George are coming in two weeks. We are going to a UNLV game here in Morgantown against West Virginia University. We are sooo looking forward to it.
