OuR CraZy ChRisTmaS!!
Christmas is always so insane but soo much fun. I absolutely love Christmas and everything about it. It is so awesome to be able to get the kids the things that they REALLY want and see their faces when they open them. It is the best.
Marcus' mom and dad (Nana and Papa Dave) came to good ol' Rock Springs for Christmas this year. Missy, Marcus' sister, had been staying with us and it worked out that they were able to pick her up over Christmas. Due to the storm, they didn't get in until 9:00 on Christmas Eve, but we were just glad that they were able to make it safely!
On Christmas Eve every year we do Christmas at my mom and dad's. It is fun. We make schnitzel...yum....and open our gifts. The kids were soo excited, they wanted to go over as soon as they woke up, but had to wait til 6:30!! GASP! They thought that was rather cruel. Little stinks. We also get jammies each year for Christmas. This way you look cute for Christmas morning pictures...sure. Well, the last four years they have turned to themes. It is fun. One year was Spongebob...then we had to make it even more difficult by having the theme around some family event. The next year was Mickey Mouse, mom and dad had gone to Disneyworld.. Then we had the Camo...these were tricky. Jed had gone to boot camp, and we couldn't find them so we made them!! Insane, but they are cute. This year was hearts because of the two weddings (Jeff and Jed). We planned way ahead and got most on sale after Valentines Day. Brady was hard, how do you get a little boy PINK hearts? So he was the flames, Hunka Hunka BURNING love... We were all styling..
Both Brady and Marissa had to sleep on our bedroom floor. Marissa is terrified of Santa. Brady isn't this year but the thought of coming into our house while we were sleeping was too much. What do you do? They were out pretty quickly, so that was nice.
Christmas Morning... The kids were spoiled rotten. It is crazy how much stuff they get, I didn't realize it was soo much, but a little here a little there REALLY adds up. They all got the main gift they asked for: Kenna a motor scooter, Marissa her baby dolls, and Brady a telescope. Only that little stinker says he wanted it so he can go around and spy on people!! Hello? Can we say peeping tom??? He just thinks that is the greatest idea. Such a nut. I, I mean the kids also got Guitar Hero III. It is soo addicting!! I love it. I think my hands are permanently cramped. I can't wait till we bring it down and put it on the big screen. That will be really fun.
So Christmas was great. We are slowly getting things back to normal... It is going to take at least a week. Especially with Guitar Hero breaks. : ) We hope that you all had a FABULOUS Christmas! We did.

Sledding...
Kenna, Rissa and Mallory
Matthew and Brady.
Matthew and Brady right before they took me down...
The kids and our neighbors went sledding in the alley behind our house. I don't think there was much snow, it looked like they were mudding, but had a lot of fun anyways. Marissa cracked me up, she looked like Ralphy from A Christmas Story. They had fun though.

Marissa's Preschool Christmas Party
Little Miss Marissa had her preschool Christmas party on Tuesday. Miss Mer Lee is amazing. We really like her. At the beginning of the party, the kids put on a little program that was so adorable. Loved it. Marissa did so good. She is usually pretty quiet when in front of people, but she did a great job.
Merry Christmas!!

So Pretty, Marissa...
Notice the handprints on the wall...
So, Saturday night, we were chatting with Marcus' sister Sam and her boyfriend, Chris, in the front room. Chris stops and looks up the stairs and says "What the heck?!?". We all
turn and ta-da!! Marissa is covered with my Bare Minerals. She had just gotten out of the tub and I had bought four different Bare Mineral eyeshadows 2 days before. So, of course, I had to snap some pictures. Sam changed her into new pjs, and we washed her up the best we could. I think she still is a little more tan than is natural for her. Little Fart.

The Brady Boogie...
This is so Brady. He loves to dance and really gets his groove on. I had to get it so I can send it to Jed, he will get a kick out of it and I thought you would too. Brady is hilarious. He gets a little tired at the end... I can't say that I blame him.

Candy Christmas
McKenna cutting the ribbon..
Oops, one ripped. A great perk EATING IT!
Punching the holes....
Such concentration.
Look at the stash under his chin. Not quite enough hands.
Ta Da! There are hundreds of pieces of candy on the tree. It is insane. That isn't even all of it, we ran out of ribbon for the rest.
So, we have a tradition. I don't think we started it intending for it to become a tradition, but maybe that is the best kind. When we were first married, like most, we were broke as a joke. Christmas was coming and we didn't have the money to buy ornaments for our tree. Well, many years before, my family had a Candy Tree. I told Marcus about it and we did it. It turned out really cute. Later, the kids just get such a kick out of our Candy Tree that we have done it ever since. It makes it nice come after Christmas, there usually isn't much left to un-decorate...
Watch Me Again!
Here we go!!
Wee!
Ta Da!
"My Silbie" she says. Poor dog.
Little Miss Marissa was all decked out in her little tutu today and was spinning. She cracked me up. After each picture, she would ask to see. Then ask me to take more. She eventually fell because she was dizzy, but as soon as she saw the camera was still out she was instant smiles. She is such a sweetheart.
Then, of course, she had to torment our Silvie and get some more pictures. That dog is so good natured, thank goodness. She loves her to death. McKenna calls her "My Baby". Yup, she is a little spoiled.
