On Your Mark.....

Ok...here we go. Major catch up time...again.
The Gorge
We have gone out to Flaming Gorge a few times over the last few weeks. Still love that place. We love to go up to Lucerne. SO worth the extra 30 minute drive. I actually stayed up on the wake board for more than 30 seconds AND I went OVER THE WAKE!! That is huge for me. Scares me to death. I dunno why...its just water. But whatever, I did it. Go me.
Brady on the boat. Such a rockstar. He is such a mix of personalities. He is really good at soccer and most other sports he does. Complete chicken when it comes to rides/tubes/rollercoaster/slides/heights...funny. Geesh. That kid can keep us rolling. He is hilarious...continue on and you will see. ;O)
Marcus and Mallory
Ken Doll who is going to be 11 in a few weeks. Puke.
Marcus and Mallory - notice how it is rarely OUR kids on the tubes with him? They are chicken.
Marcus
Mallory
Marcus.
Marcus
Marcus on the rope swing. The water is so so high right now. It is nuts.
Kenna and Mallory. They spent over an hour trying to 'sink the tube'. We would put along and they would try to push the tube under the water. They are funny. Love that they were so entertained by that.
The Fair Parade
We have a parade to mark the beginning of the fair. Fun stuff. Coltin and his friend Jonathan rode their unicycles in the parade for Sweetwater Medics. They are insane. The parade route was almost 2 miles. He is funny tho.

Marissa and Brady, watching one of the floats. They threw so much candy, kids stopped picking it up. Seriously. It was insane.
Miss Riss
Kenners.

Randomness

Brady, trying out his roller blades he got from Nana and Papa Dave for his birthday.Marissa pushing her BFF Cailey on the swing.
They love each other...most times. I love those hoppity hops. If you don't have one, get one. Entertainment for HOURS!!

Seriously. Brade just came downstairs like this. Seriously. He needs ABSOLUTELY NO ENCOURAGEMENT. He kills me. Not that the fairy dress wouldn't be enough...no the kid has to curtsy. Curtsy!?? I tell ya.
Sad day. Miss Riss got her Kindergarten shots. She has been saying forever that she doesn't want to go to Kindergarten. I was seriously thinking about holding her out. She has a May birthday, so technically I could...

I went home and got the kids after work, and just left. Didn't tell them where we were going. Meanwhile, Marcus is talking to Brady -who had to get one more shot- and telling him that he needed to go first and suck it up so Marissa wouldn't be scared. If he did, we would go get ice cream.

We get to the doctor. I tell Marissa we are just getting "checked out". She immediately says that she doesn't want to get shots. Lovely.

-Sidenote- Kids are so different. With Brady, we told him he had to get shots to go to Kindergarten and he was all for it. Whatever it took to get him there. Marissa. FREAKING OUT. So crazy.

Anyways. We get into the room and the damn nurse says. "Brady, you are going to get one, maybe 2 shots depending on you Chicken Pox. Marissa, you aren't so lucky. You are getting FIVE shots today." Immediately, she starts freaking. Crying and saying that she doesn't want shots and she doesn't want to go to Kindergarten. Super.

So Marissa is crying/sniffling the entire time we are there. Poor thing. Waiting is the worst part! Stupid nurse. I wanted to kick her. Then they waited an hour to come in!! Grr!!

Brady went first. He only had one shot and did good. No tears...he was funny, as soon as Marissa's back was turned, he mouths "Ow!! Ow!! Ow!!".

Then they take Marissa...screaming, not crying, from my arms. On nurse holds her on her lap, wraps her legs around Marissa's and holds her arms down. First shot. I had called Marcus and had him on the phone on the counter. He had to be there with me. She was so freaking out. Poor thing. She screamed. Way past crying. Poor thing.. The nurse even commented on her "lungs". We made it tho. Even went to ColdStone for some ice cream. Makes it all better.

Was seriously heartbreaking. It sucks when they are babies. But at least they don't remember or know what is coming. I think that it is just that much harder since she is our last and is getting her Kindergarten shots. Sniff. Although now she is so so excited for Kindergarten, so I guess it has all worked out! She is counting down the days.

My mom and dad went to Logan a few weeks ago and brought back some corn from Grandpas garden. It is THE BEST corn ever. Love it. Ate a lot of it. Marissa enjoyed it as well. So thank you Grandpa in the Blue House!Miss Riss in her tiara that she got from Princess camp a few weeks ago. That is such a Mallory move, it is ridiculous. She is funny.
What a stud. First the fairy dress, now the Tiara!? Seriously. At least he has a 'studly' look on his face.
Demolition Derby

Rock Springs does have a pretty cool Demolition Derby. It is a lot of fun and the kids absolutely LOVE it...although it was FREEZING this year. Brr. There were 2 guys that work for Marcus that had a car in it. It was fun to watch and have someone to cheer for.

Braden enjoying the derby.
Me, Matthew and Marissa. It was so so cold and windy. Sucked. Still fun tho.
Dr John

Marissa also had her first visit to the 'regular' dentist. Regular as opposed to the one in Ogden that knocks you out for a cleaning cuz your kid is terrified. She did awesome. Not a cavity. way to go Rissy. We love Dr John...he is awesome.

Although, little miss underbite gets to visit the Orthodontist on the 3rd. Yes, our 5 year old is going to the orthodontist. Lovely. They think if they are able to start work now, she wont need surgery. Sigh.
So that is the last month in a nutshell. Still some more on my camera...and Kenna's. Ill get back to ya on that. Doing good. Just workin and enjoying the last of the summer; which is going so so fast. :O(

Remodeling the bathroom. It is ALMOST done. Going to be awesome once it is. Cant wait. Nice big tub, we (meaning I) am so excited about.

Other news...Jed and Chelsea are going to have a baby any day now. She is due on the 2nd, but scheduled to be induced on the 1st. Why? Because Jed is going to be on leave from the 31-5 from Camp Pendelton in San Diego and that will give him the chance to be there. Poor Chelsea...those last few weeks are a killer and normally would do anything to be done. She is taking it really easy so she can keep the little guy in there. I am just glad he is going to be able to be there...hopefully. He will have another 2 week leave in Octoberish before he is deployed to Afghanistan. But we are sure excited to meet the little guy.

Other than that? Going to good old Spring Creek over Labor Day. Havent been there since 2005 when Sam Graduated, so its time. Will be good. Can't wait for 9 Beans. Yum.
