Well. Summer vacation in Morgantown is officially over. Kids went back to school last week. Crazy. But we definitely went out with a BANG…busy, busy, busy.
Like this little man. Went and turned 4 months on us. Sniff. He weighed 12 lbs 11 oz. Which was almost exactly double his birth weight. His dr said that his weight and height are both in the 10%tile (which is big for our kids) but then “he had a big old noggin”….ahh, a little Brady, for sure!
He is seriously so stinking sweet. Really.
On July 25, we fly to Wyoming for my brothers wedding. I was a little nervous about flying with 4 kids…one being a baby! I mean, what if Sean was one of “THOSE” babies…ugh. But he slept. The entire time. Ahh. Was awesome. Got to Rock Springs where Sean met Grampy and most of my family for the first time.
We also made a trip to Logan to see Grandma and Grandpa in the Blue House. Grandpa got out this gun that was like 3 Greats of mine old. It was pretty cool.
Then there was some massive fort building…
Some trampoline jumping….and sweet baby napping….
Lots of cuddling and kisses. Our quite day trip was much to short, but we were just glad we were able to make it there to see them and introduce little Sean to them.
We also were able to go out to where Jeffy works at Black Butte Coal for family day. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a blast and there was a ton of stuff to do.
They had a bunch of the big equiptment out that we were able to climb on and check out. Brady couldn’t believe that the tires were even bigger than dad!! HUGE!
Playing in bubbles…..
Visiting the welders (which is what Jeffy does) where they had their names welded on a plaque….
On of the coolest things was the big blast they did. I believe it was 1000 lbs of dynomite. It was freaking awesome. The boys loved it!!! It was so big, it shook the ground. Pretty neat.
Riding the big trucks…. Marissa and Marcus got lucky, Jeffy was able to drive them around the track.
We also saw a car get crushed. Little tidbit…it was Breezy’s dad’s car. It had been sitting so they donated it to get smooshed.
July 30, 2011
Wedding Day. It really was beautiful. Holly did an awesome job getting everything together. Marissa did great at her job. I was afraid she would be a little too embarrassed to do it. Of course, B loved his suit and was annoyed we had to give it back…especially since Marissa got to keep hers!!
Coltin and Holly Blau
My cute mom and dad.
Jeff , Jed, Coltin and Marcus….and little baby D.
One of my new favorite pictures…ever.
The Blau Family. So not cool that Kenna is taller than me…in my defense, we are really the same height, she was just wearing wedges….
One of my good friends from forever came with her family and her mom and dad. It was great seeing all of them!!
Little Miss Riss, dancin the night away with Sean. So cute.
Dancin with Uncle Coltin…and Baby D was quite the lush….he was all over that cider! It was funny….
Grampy, Sean and Breezy….and Chelsea and Jed. They are having a baby girl in January!!! Yay!!
Some Chicken Dancing….
And how I have to dance with Marcus…. Should have packed my heels.
Kenna and Coltin…Mallory and Kenna
Damien found the bottle!!! lol…Grampy was there to help him out.
Tiny….Jeffy and Breezy’s Gladiator. So huge…so sweet. Then Jed with Rocky.
We left on the 31 to drive to Aunt Jan’s cabin in Duck Creek above Cedar City. It was so nice. Beautiful and relaxing. We spent a few hours down at Navajo Lake with Sam and Chris….
Skipping rocks…and check out all the minnows…. there was so many of them. The kids chased them all over, trying to catch one. They didn’t succeed….
From the cabin, we went to Las Vegas. Sean got to go swimming with his dad for the first time. He loved the water. Definitely a ‘Fish’. Ba-dum.
We took the kids to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. It had been a long time since we went there, so it was fun….
Kenna would touch them, but we couldn’t get B or Marissa to. I guess Kenna’s description of them being like wet gummy bears wasn’t what they wanted to hear….
We flew home and left Kenners in Las Vegas. Dad and Jeffy flew down to pick her up and dads car we borrowed. We did the red eye. It was a great thought, gave us an entire extra day in LV, and we knew the kids would sleep…but have you ever tried sleeping on a plane, holding a baby? Not possible. Seriously took a week before I felt normal again. Ugh. Kids did great tho. Marissa would curl up on chair in airport, sleep. Walk onto plane, sleep. Curl on chiar, sleep. Get on plane….sleep. She slept the entire night!!
We also started little man on big boy food. Sniff. As you can tell, he is all over it.
Sean was fussing, but I was almost finished making beds, so I told Marissa to make him happy. When I got downstairs, I found her like this…she said that Sean just wanted to play Spiderman and Batman with her….
And little guy turned 5 months…..
Grampy, Kenna and Teresa flew in on the 16th. It was dad’s first time out here….
While they were here, school started…on the 18th. Kenna is in the 7th grade…
Marissa is in the 2nd grade and had Mrs Haney.
B is in the 3rd grade and has Mrs Hatfield.
We had to take Grampy and Teresa to the lake. Brady was so so so excited to show them his “awesome skills”. I love the lake. It had been a few weeks since we had been…with vaca and then recovering from vaca….
Grampy even tried out the rope swing.
And the tube…
B wasn’t too thrilled about being on the tube, but Marcus told him he had to tube before he could wakeboard. Ha ha. Kenna also did some go-go gaget rescue moves to try to keep Marissa on the tube…
And we got Teresa up on the wakeboard!! Look how excited she is!!
We also went out and took some pictures of Teresa. Can you believe that she is going to be a SENIOR this year!!?!? Isn’t she pretty…
So that is it. Grampy and Teresa left yesterday. We are slowly getting back into the routine of having a schedule….
As always….come see us.
